A BRIGHT LINE OF DEMARCATION
How do we recognize hatred?
How can we know what is true and what is not? How can we distinguish truth from lies? How do we know who to trust?
In John 17:17, Jesus prayed to His Father, “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth” ESV. For those who believe in the Word of God, this is enough to convince us that Scripture is our best standard for recognizing what is true.
Those who reject God and His Word require physical evidence.
There is an old saying, “Actions speak louder than words.” What is true is evidenced by the actions of people.
According to sources and the text messages that were revealed to the public by law enforcement, the man who murdered Charlie Kirk accused him of spreading “hate speech.” This was given as the reason that his life must be snuffed out.
Charlie’s life was an open book. He was constantly in front of large congregations of people. He also wrote many books in which he laid out, in detail, his beliefs and the reasons he believed them. He propounded the Gospel from scripture, and he said he did what he did because he loved God, Jesus, the Word of God, and people.
No one could have ever legitimately construed his words or his actions as hateful, yet many people continue to accuse him as though he were a hateful monster.
Let’s consider why this might be the case.
Many Americans have been conditioned to blindly follow the blind.
As prominent people use their public platforms to criticize and demonize others, and anti-God people have wrestled control of many of America’s institutions, generations of children have been brainwashed to reject “TRUTH” and embrace error. They then grow up to further the lies taught to them by an increasingly secular society.
God-haters have assumed control of education, media, Hollywood, and much of our government. They have used these positions of power to corrupt their neighbors, beginning with preschoolers.
We have been conditioned to believe that truth is subjective by phrases like “my truth, his truth, her truth, their truth, etc.”
People who oppose these illogical propositions are called hateful.
It must be repeatedly pointed out that the assertions by spokesmen for these institutions claim, without evidence, that political violence is the fault of “both sides.”
When President Trump was inaugurated as President in 2017, there was violence. It wasn’t incited or acted upon by conservatives or Republicans, it was the actions of Democrats and their allies.
In response to George Floyd’s death there was violence in Democrat ruled cities throughout our nation. It wasn’t incited or acted upon by conservatives or Republicans, it was the actions of Democrats and their allies.
On January 6th 2021 there was violence In Washington DC and we are expected to believe that it was an unarmed “insurrection” perpetrated by Republicans and conservatives, but the only casualties were Republicans and conservatives.
When presidential candidate Donald Trump was shot, it was by a Democrat. Republicans and conservatives rallied around the efforts of law enforcement to investigate and solve the crime. There were no riots or violence in response to the assassination attempt. The same is true concerning the 2nd assassination attempt on the golf course.
Charlie Kirk has now been murdered by a man who claimed he did it to stop the hate he believed Charlie promoted.
Charlie was a beloved Christian conservative on many continents and in many countries. Millions of American students love Charlie Kirk and experience a great loss in his assassination, yet there have only been outpourings of love and grace in response to this horrible crime by his fans, not violence.
Where is the evidence of violence on “both sides?”
If we do not expose the truth, lies will prevail. If we allow liars to be unopposed in the propagation of lies, no good will come.
It is not heartless to embrace the truth. It is not hateful to reject lies. It is cowardly to allow the children of lies to prevail.
The murder of Charlie is the express manifestation of the hatred in the heart of the murderer. This heartless murderer manifested what he claimed to oppose vehemently.
God bless you, Dave
