ACTION ALERTS FOR THIS WEEK 5/30/2023
This regular session of the Louisiana Legislature is nearing its end.
There is an old saying, “lets make hay while the sun shines.” Regardless of the endeavor, there is a time to engage, and a point when it is no longer an option. If we procrastinate too long, we will lose the opportunity to accomplish our goal.
In the spirit of self-government, our legislature’s sessions are scheduled, and all deliberation is done during this time. It is not prudent to let this opportunity to pass without our attention.
There is little time for our citizens to help direct our legislature, and there are forces that look forward to capitalizing on apathy. I encourage every citizen to exploit the opportunity we have to make our will known to our legislators.
