I am not well educated, and I am a hunt, and peck keyboard warrior.
I think about things that I find compelling. I have a high regard for those that built the society that we Americans have inherited, and the utmost love for Jesus Christ, God, (our father,) and the word that He magnified above His name.
I read the Bible daily, meditating on it, and I endeavor to educate myself on contemporary events, while contemplating how God’s word relates to the world in which I find myself. I also believe that God wants for me to share them with others. This SubStack is one outlet for sharing them.
While I don’t really shy away from discussing these matters in person, I find myself to be easily distracted, (in live discussions,) from what I often believe to be extremely important intersections between the Word of God, and contemporary issues. My life does not allow many opportunities to hash out these things in person, so I write them down.
This SubStack allows me the opportunity to flesh out these thoughts, and share them with my fellow humans, if they are so inclined.
I have no editor in which to trust, streamlining these expressions, and correcting typos. Usually, I follow the axiom stated in the movie, “Finding Forrester,” where I let the thoughts flow unimpeded, hunting, and pecking feverishly, with some of the most horrific misspelling known to man. Then I will usually, (when time affords,) re-read the essay, and make corrections, and improvements as I find them. Usually I will repeat this process several times, (over a day or two,) before I post it, but sometimes I believe that it should be posted before such editing can take place. My last essay, “FREEDOM OF SPEECH,” was such an example.
As I reflected on this essay, re-reading it at the end of my day, I found that I had failed to accurately express what I was trying to express, and my spelling was, (understandably atrocious.)
As I edited it, I felt ashamed to have posted it before needed edits. Please forgive me, and please re-read it for yourself. I believe it may make better sense in its present form.
God bless you, Dave
