“BUT BE YE DOERS OF THE WORD, AND NOT HEARERS ONLY, DECEIVING YOUR OWN SELVES.” James 1:22
It is time for many Americans to see reality as it is, and not as they want it to be.
We are told that we must follow the law. That the Executive Orders of our President, and the judgements of our Supreme Court, are the, “Law of the land.” It is claimed that these unconstitutionally instituted, “laws,” hold authority over us, and it is un-American for us to oppose, or resist them. Bah, humbug!
We know that many still claim that the 2,000 Presidential election was stolen from Al Gore, by the US Supreme Court, on behalf of George W. Bush.
Many of the same people, convinced of this, “election theft,” by the Supreme Court, simultaneously deride anyone skeptical of other Supreme Court rulings.
Some of these Americans believe that Donald Trump, colluded with Russians to steal the 2,016 elections, and Stacey Abrams is the rightful Governor of Georgia, yet these same people say it is un-American to question the 2020 election of Joe Biden. They are either ignorant, or fane ignorance of the fact that it is the state legislatures that are constitutionally authorized to determine federal election procedures, not Governors, election boards, State Supreme Courts, or even the US Supreme Court.
Many of the same people who support and affirm afore mentioned fallacies, simultaneously praise the, “mostly peaceful,” violent riots across our land during the Trump administration. They support the burning of historic churches in the capital of our nation, the murder and violence against American citizens, (both white Americans, and “people of color,”) and the refusal to prosecute the perpetrators of these heinous crimes against America, as patriotic. They have no criticism for a Vice Presidential candidate collecting donations for the purpose of bailing violent felons out of jail for their part in riots, while simultaneously calling for the prosecution, and imprisonment of American citizens who have not yet had their day in court.
Thousands of hours of video are being withheld by our Department of Justice. Ask yourself, why would they withhold it? If it contains visual evidence of felonies being committed, and who committed them, wouldn’t these people be charged with felonies, and wouldn’t this surveillance video be submitted as evidence in their prosecution? Why isn’t every American concerned about these issues?
Because of our Christian desire to forgive, relying on the grace and mercy of God for our own salvation and seeking to extend grace to the perpetrators of injustice, (those who are held captive by the prince of darkness,) we are inspired to extend grace and mercy to these intolerant, vicious, and vindictive opposers of liberty.
God’s unlimited grace and mercy is not dependent on anything that we do. He does not need our confirmation, or agreement to extend mercy to anyone. The Bible declares that God requires repentance from the offender, and that He is the only righteous judge. His perfect, and unlimited knowledge is able to determine whether or not someone is repentant, regardless of our opinion.
Some people expect others to give them the benefit of every doubt, but refuse to extend grace to their opposition. They demand “perfection” from others while for themselves, they demand leniency.
“When I am Weaker Than You, I ask you for Freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am Stronger than you, I take away your Freedom Because that is according to my principles.”
― Frank Herbert, Children of Dune
In the Biblical record of Daniel, chapter six, we see unprincipled people, having access to the king, (the most powerful man in the kingdom,) and having opportunity to influence his decisions. These men opposed Daniel, BECAUSE of his obedience to the Lord God Almighty. They resented GOD, and Daniel’s authority over them, as well as the king’s respect, and affection for him. Therefore, they devised a plan to overthrow his position, and use his submission to God against him, for his destruction.
Note that they didn’t just seek to have him demoted. It was not that they wanted to have their worth, and the worth of Daniel reassessed, they wanted Daniel destroyed. They sought, through deception, to have his life taken from him in the most painful, and violent way possible, so much so that they tricked the king into compliance with their plan.
Do we not see parallels to this in the way many of our political “leaders,” media, and academia treat the American Public? Is it patriotically American, or faithfully Christian, to ignore the offenses of those willing to ignore available facts and evidence, in favor of political gain? To side with obviously devious, and deceitful people, against their fellow citizens, because they don’t like their choices and opinions?
I repeat Isaiah 5:20 often. Some of you may be tired tired of reading it, but it is extremely poignant right now. We have powerful, “important,” and influential people that daily elevate praise for lies, and liars. They incessantly accuse innocent Americans of the most egregious offenses, while excusing, and ignoring horrible, and vicious criminal acts against their neighbors. Is this not calling evil good, and good evil? Can we consider ourselves faithful Christians, in good standing, if we partake in such evil activity? Can we trust God while ignoring His warnings, and committing the very offenses that He warns against?
God bless you, Dave
