Often when we think of political double standards, we think of how certain politicians are persecuted by media, and the so-called “American justice system,” while their opposition often goes without public criticism for worse behavior.
I would like to point out a different kind of double standard than we are used to thinking about.
Patriots, Christians, and constitutionalists are prone to have differing standards for public figures. Often we partake in the fruit of the poisonous tree by subscribing to cable TV, partaking in social media, (like Facebook & Twitter,) reading publications like the NY Times, or watching network news. We know that these industries are generating huge fortunes, and that wealth is used in large part, to undermine our religious liberty, and constitutional standards, but too many Americans choose to go along.
Our society demonizes the principled American, and allows for the acceptance of debauchery, and every evil political, and cultural work. We then endure this situation to avoid hurting the feelings of people that hate us.
You may ask why we do these things?
I don’t believe that it is intentional, but it seems to be a reliable, and recurring fault. We set criteria and litmus tests for our cultural, and political allies that would be hard for any one person to fulfill totally. At the same time we, (trying to appear “tolerant” to our marxist opponents,) we extend ridiculous degrees of grace and mercy toward them.
By these double standards we cripple our allies, and empower our opponents. If we are to be successful in our efforts to rebuild the America of the past, we must first have the resolve to face the truth, remembering the frailness of the human constitution, and we must cling to virtue, and integrity. We must extend grace and mercy to those that are warranted. Not because they are perfect, but because they are humble, or at least have godly, and/or patriotic intentions.
In order to faithfully assist our allies, we must have conviction, and vigorously oppose our opponents. We should be ally with those that have similar intentions to ours, who want to glorify God, and restore America. We should hold our disdain, and disfavor for those that oppose those honorable objectives.
This is one thing that President Trump revealed. If we have a love for our heritage, and our neighbors, we should embrace the opportunity to vigorously defend the foundational principals of our nation, and vigorously oppose the tactics of those that don’t recognize the benefits of the nation that our founders left to us. We should be humble enough to realize the times we live in. We should be of good courage, as we confront evil.
We have no need to hate our opponents, regardless of their virtue, or lack thereof, but we must reject their ideologies.
Please watch the video below of Tom Klingenstein as he discusses the “Trump’s virtues.”
“Woe unto them who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
Isaiah 5:20
Do you wonder why God allows such demonic challenges to prosper against our nation? Could it be because we so often leave our political, and religious allies defenseless, while we reward the enemies of righteousness?
“One who returns evil for good, Evil will not depart from his house. One who justifies the wicked and one who condemns the righteous, Both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.”
Proverbs 17:13,15
