DENYING SCIENCE
What is science?
We hear people boasting about the importance of science almost daily. Science is held up as such an important feature of life and elevated to an almost spiritual height. But how often do we really consider exactly what science is?
sci·ence | ˈsīəns |
noun
1 the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained.

Let’s take a closer look at this definition.
“the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world”
“Systematic study;” does this suggest a cursory view? No, it requires purposeful observation.
What is this purposeful observation of? It is the study of, “the physical and natural world.” This narrows our study to things that we can see, hear, touch, taste, and smell.
“through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained.”
This requires that we recognize the results of experiments and testing.
Science is very specific. It is the study of what God has created. Romans chapter one speaks of those who worship the creation, rather than the creator. Those that idolize science, are guilty of this, whether or not they call themselves Christians.
Daily the truth of God’s word is challenged. We are tempted to compromise a little on what our heart of hearts knows is true. Our priorities are our own responsibility, and we will either benefit from our choices or reap the consequences.
Dental of the truth will never bring long-range prosperity or spiritual blessings to our lives. Accepting, and embracing the truth will, on the other hand, yield the blessings intended by our loving Heavenly Father.
These blessings do not always come quickly, and are not always without pain.
Jas 4:6-10 “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to heaviness.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”
In Luke 4:1-13 we see our Lord being challenged or tempted by the devil. Jesus emerges as the victor, and the devil flees unsuccessful, but does this confrontation appear easy to you? It seems very difficult to me, even for the only begotten Son of the Living God.
If all of the powers of Satan’s kingdom are focused on getting us to compromise, the penalty for failure to resist is just as bad, and the reward for resisting will be as sweet, though we may need to endure persecution for a while to experience it.
Science agrees with every word of God’s revelation, and any proposal that disagrees with the truth of God’s Word is false science, and thereby a lie
