There are leaders, and followers in every station of life. Each of us is given talents, gifts embedded in our DNA. These aspects of our persons reveal themselves in how we address opportunities, challenges, in our duties and responsibilities.
Governor Ron DeSantis is making the stature of his constitution known almost daily.
There are other Governors that quietly exhibit the steel of their resolve, and their inherent integrity. Most Americans are aware of the recent Supreme Court, the “Dobbs decision.” But how did this case come to the attention of the Supreme Court in the first place?
There was a law, written and passed by the Mississippi legislature, and signed into law by its governor. This prompted abortion activists to challenge this new law, through which the case rose, level by level, till it landed at the Supreme Court.
This law was written by pro-life advocates, specifically designed to ruffle the feathers of the abortion lobby, hoping to ascend to the Supreme Court, in order to expose the unconstitutional nature of the 1973 “Roe v Wade” decision.
As we give proper credit to the staffers who constructed the bill, “House Bill 1510,” we must also accredit the legislators who passed the bill, voting 75-34 in favor of the measure the “GESTATIONAL AGE ACT,” in 2018.
Third, we must acknowledge in highest regard, the governor who signed it into law, Governor Phil Bryant.
Now that this law has prevailed through the Supreme Court challenge, not only to protect the unborn after fifteen weeks, in Mississippi, her present governor, Tate Reeves has added his endorsement by announcing that he has proclaimed June 2022 to be recognized as, “Sanctity of Life Month”
As many of our cities, states, and our nation’s capital, celebrate June as, “pride month,” Mississippi is laying down the example for others to follow, declaring June as, “Sanctity of Life Month.”
I’m on board,
JUNE IS SANCTITY OF LIFE MONTH!
I will celebrate it every year, for the rest of my life.
God bless you, Dave
