Self-government has been mostly deemphasized in the American experience. Civics education has been largely forsaken, as our youth has been taught conflicting messages by professional educators, apathetic parenting, and depravity in our society and its culture.
Americans, including those of Louisiana, have grown to believe that they have little control over the culture they inhabit. They are taught to trust in the “experts” and “professionals” that set modern standards, regardless of whether they adhere to biblical principles or the US Constitution.
For those of Louisiana who reject this descent into official lawlessness, some patriots use their God-given talents and abilities to confront evil, they have founded citizen advocacy groups to help citizens, parents, and professionals in our state to influence the lawmaking of our state.

One of these groups is LACAG, or “Louisiana Citizen Advocacy Group.” A group committed to monitoring the workings of our legislature and helping citizens to steer it in the direction most ethical, righteous, and prosperous for our society and its progeny.
Concerned citizens, determined to effect our governance for the better, can access this utility through their website, LACAG.org, and sign up for “Action Alerts.” It is very user-friendly.

Our legislature is now in session and they are presently considering proposals intended to help determine the degree to which crime and punishment will affect our daily lives.
Is it time for us to recognize our calling to participate in the restoration of the United States of America, beginning with our local concerns, and restoring the government of Louisiana?
