Does anyone know how this nation, the United States of America became a thing? Was it just a natural evolution of events, or happenstance? Was it the benevolence of King George, in England, that ushered this new nation into existence?
Was it born out of belligerence, of obstinance, or hatred? Was it to protect and defend slavery?
Do any of you ever ask yourself any of these questions, or do you just take this amazing country for granted? Do you think that since it has thus far survived many perils, it is destined to continue?
If this is your opinion, I truly pity you. Any of these suppositions are ignorant, and the facts of history, though increasingly obscured by the atheist, Marxist academics that have conquered our American education system, are available to be known, if we want to know.
How was it that the descendants of Pilgrims, and other God fearing Christians, from across the American landscape, were able to become united in the common rejection of tyranny, and willing to give their, “lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor,” for the establishment, and defense of a nation, who’s God is the god of the Bible?
Was it not because they, many of the American settlers, and their progeny, were motivated by a subjection to a higher authority than any earthly king? Is it not that they sought to find, or establish, a home where equal opportunity, and equal justice, were possible, based on the righteousness of scripture?
Were all of these early Americans 100% unified, in all matters? Were they all Christians? Were they all slave owners? Were they all abolitionists? No, they were all flawed humans. Some were very selfish, some were selfless. Some were brilliant, some were simple. Some were scholars, some were farmers. Some were merchants, some were writers. They were all individuals, and they each played a vital part in the establishment, and construction of this great nation, or as is revealed in scripture, “or as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office. So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.” Rom 12:4,5.
We are their progeny, and we have a duty to protect, and defend this nation, for, “WE THE PEOPLE,” and our progeny.
This is the first installment of my thoughts on this matter. I pray that this inspires in you an inquisitive hunger, and pursuit for truth, and for a passion for your spiritual, and civil obligations to our Lord, and our nation.
God bless you, Dave
