I have a hard time understanding why someone who so adamantly declared that his passion is to affect constitutionally conservative governance in the House of Representatives is so quick to announce that he will pick up his ball, and go home since he can not remain the leader of the pack.
What kind of leader is this? When his team has such a tiny majority in the House, how can he justify narrowing that advantage?
I think Mr. McCarthy has demonstrated that he never was the right man for the job, of Speaker of the House.
I know that many constitutionalists thought he was the best man for the job, and had hoped that he would lead the tiny Republican majority in limiting the damage Biden’s demolition team could inflict upon our republic.
I believe that the selfish decision to abandon his post in Congress since he can no longer be Speaker shows us where his loyalties really lie.
The late, Inga Barks, (a California talk-radio host, and past substitute for Mark Levin,) lived in McCarthy’s district, and often spoke of his ambitious nature and lust for personal power.
As Speaker, he had not betrayed the conservative movement nearly as openly as many of his predecessors. Still, he had certainly not made much of a dent in the massive communist wave sweeping over our republic, led by Biden’s handlers, and Chuck Schumer, and with the help of Mitch McConnell.
It is a disappointing turn of events that, “With Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announcing he will retire at the end of the year, Rep. George Santos’s (R-NY) expulsion, and Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH) leaving for another role, House Republicans could lose their majority before 2024.”
How is it that so many Republicans are not able to see their role in serving their district, their party, or their nation?
Is their role as a public servant a calling, or did they campaign to serve only their pocket-book?
As my Bible declares, I cannot see the heart of anyone, but I can see the fruit of their labor. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it’s probably a duck.
Democrats vote in a solid block, 100% for, or against, on nearly every important issue. How is it that so few Republicans, who espouse constitutionally conservative ambitions during their election campaigns, can rarely remember that conviction when it counts?
Our nation suffers under the judgment of God for its rejection of truth, (can you define a woman, etc?)
Our only hope is that our citizens will return to the God of the Bible, exercise righteous judgement, and perform their God-ordained civic duties.
2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV
“if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
