STUPID SMART PEOPLE, (Hat tip, Dan Bongino)
What is a stupid smart person, and are you allowing them to influence your thinking?
We are encouraged to believe that it is admirable to be smart, intelligent, or to have the intelligence to decipher, or understand complex matters. We are further influenced to succumb to the intellectual musings of those that can confidently, and intelligently explain complex matters in ways that the simplest of us can understand. But is this wise? Are all, “smart people,” wise? Are we wise if we confer our responsibility to think responsibly, logically, compassionately, and lovingly, to others with a higher, “intelligence quotient?”
Does a high IQ command compassion? Does it qualify concern? Does it infer wisdom?
If this were true, would Bernie Madoff not be a genius? He figured out how to convince hundreds, maybe thousands of people, ( many of them with the ability to earn fortunes,) to abandon logic, and “invest” their own resources I a financial instrument that he claimed would render extraordinary returns.
Was his claim true? Was it profitable for the “investor?” Was it wise, or intelligent for those that “invested?” NO, it was a conn. Madoff was very intelligent, but he lacked prudence, and virtue. He was a criminal, and his “intelligence” landed him in prison, and conned many out of their hard earned resources. Many of them, also having high IQ’s.
Bernie Madoff was a stupid smart person. He had the intellectual ability to figure out a scheme to defraud others, and to convince them that this scheme would benefit them, personally, but it ignored the fact that at some point, the truth would be evident to all, and the consequences would be grave.
Were Bernie’s “clients” smart people? Many of them had amassed fortunes, but in the end, did they not fall prey to his illogic, and absurdity?
So Bernie was smart enough to devise a plan, and to execute it to perfection, but stupid enough to end up in prison for it. Many of his clients were smart enough to amass fortunes, but stupid enough to be conned out of much of it by Bernie.
There is a couple of axioms that apply here.
If something is too good to be true, it isn’t.
If something can’t continue, it won’t.
These are mathematically accurate, and scientifically precise. When the fullness of time is reached, the outcome WILL BE AS EXPECTED, if we apply either, or both of these axioms. This is called wisdom.
Many Americans, while intelligent, and having great ability to recon, often being virtuous, and compassionate in their goals, and objectives, are not willing to grapple with the lack of virtue, and compassion of “smart people.” Like college professors, political advisors, heads of political parties, news agencies, and the like. They willingly confer wisdom, and virtue upon masterful degenerates who happily ascend to prominent positions of popularity, in their pursuit of self serving devices.
These prominent, popular degenerates are smart enough to devise, and explain marxist ideology in convincing fashion, but they lack the wisdom to recognize that marxism HAS NEVER delivered its promises, rather it has ALWAYS delivered the resources of the populace, to the very few elites at the very top of the “equality chain.” In other words, in a marxist society, (which proclaims the compassion to propose equality for all,) some, the very few, are far more equal than others. While the ruling elites find no limit to their indulgences, the many find equality in pain, lack, violence, and tyranny. This is why they will risk violence, and even death to escape these “equal, and compassionate societies,” to America, the, “exploitive society, where robber barons extricate resources, and wealth, from the less fortunate common people, or masses.”
It is time for the American dupes to throw off the intellectual chains that they have accepted and endured from the stupid smart people that seek to destroy the very basis of the United States of America. The very truth that our forefathers struggled, and many died to provide for us.
We must be smart enough to rely on virtue, and wisdom, (both products of the Bible,) to guide us in the pursuit of the, “American Dream.”
God bless you, Dave
