I have just heard Mark Meadows agree with Glenn Beck, and Senator Mike Lee’s assertion that it would not be in the interest of good government to hold despotic Democrats such as, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, and others accountable of their vicious, dishonest, and egregious attacks against prominent Republicans, including President Trump, his family members, and members of his administration. Somehow they tend to ignore the despotic personal use of the instrumentalities of government investigation, and prosecution, as weapons against the political adversaries of the Democrat Party. They believe that to hold them accountable would be equal to the misuse of government perpetrated by the Democrats in power, and equivalent to the actions of, “banana republics.”
I completely disagree. I do not believe that ANYONE is above the law! That includes Democrats that are successfully elected to some political position of prominence. The law is the law, and it is meant to apply to EVERYONE, regardless of political party, or political position. To every American EQUALLY.
It is equally egregious to withhold judicial prosecution of someone, simply because of their political affiliation, or political position, as to execute judicial persecution of someone, on the basis of their political affiliation.
We have experienced over half a decade of political persecution executed, without any predicate, against candidate Trump, President Trump, and now private citizen Trump, and extending to his family members, and associates. This is unconstitutional, and criminal, and should not be tolerated.
The US House of Representatives is currently attempting to conduct a tribunal labeled, “January 6th Commission.” They are pretending that there is constitutional authority for the House of Representatives to conduct judicial proceedings. They are executing this fraud for the express purpose of punishing President Trump, and his supporters. They have no respect, nor consideration for the restraints of the constitution, or for anyone that oppose their vicious objectives. They overlook no opportunity, no matter how illegitimate, for such punishment.
We the people must stop being convinced of this false equivalency. We must insist that justice is not a weapon to be wielded against those of particular political persuasions, but for the protection of civil society, and the preservation of righteousness.
Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, Adam Schiff, James Comey, James Clapper, and others, have all committed felonies. Evidence is abundantly available publicly. Many have admitted, even boasted of offenses in public statements made of their own accord. There has never been any evidence that Donald Trump engaged in criminal activity with regards to his candidacy, or his presidency, and therefore the persecutions, and attacks on all things Trump, are egregious at their root.
We Americans must not be reluctant to insist on criminal prosecution of the guilty, and we must not tolerate criminal persecution of the innocent.
Neither of these promote justice, or grace, and are not the activities of the righteous.
Many of the same people that bemoan the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse for fabricated, nonsensical charges emanating from his self defense, are fully tolerant of repeat criminals, who descend violently upon innocent communities, and refer to their actions, which include shootings, illegal possession of firearms, beatings, and arson, as, “mostly peaceful protests.”
When people appear to be unable to process the simplest of information and come to a realistic conclusion, are we to question their intelligence, or their motives?
God bless you, Dave
