WHAT DID ANDREW BAILEY SAY?
“The left hates Donald Trump so much that they are willing to destroy our system of government.”
Who is Andrew Bailey? He is the current Attorney General of Missouri who has seamlessly picked up where AG Mike Schmitt left off when he assumed his duties as Missouri’s newest Senator.
Bailey appeared on the Glenn Beck show to talk about his recent lawsuit against the state of New York for election interference. His suit asserts that New York’s lawfare against Trump restricts Missouri’s voter’s access to candidate Donald Trump.
During this interview, Mr. Bailey said, “The left hates Donald Trump so much that they are willing to destroy our system of government.”
While I respect him and his historic and courageous actions against the Biden Administration, I must disagree with this statement.
I would say, “The left hates our system of government so much that they are willing to destroy Donald Trump.”
Donald Trump was a hero of the left for many decades until he chose to leave the Democrat Party and run for President as a Republican.
Mr. Bailey went on to list several of the many abuses of power being exercised against Republicans, Trump, and his associates.
I believe these examples further prove my case.
Donald Trump has been saying that Democrats’ hate directed toward him is really aimed at the American people. He is merely standing in the way, absorbing the weight of their fury.
This is the reason for their vitriol and the reason so many Americans love President Trump.
As Mark Levin wrote in the title of his NY Times best-selling book, “The Democrat Party Hates America.” Modern Democrats are determined to “fundamentally transform America.” They violate, attack, and abuse every principle of democratic republicanism as they struggle to institute Marxism at every turn.
Democrats constantly call ours a democracy, accusing constitutionalists of wanting to “destroy our democracy.”
Article IV, Section 4 of our Constitution says, “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.”
This does not say that our Constitution shall guarantee to every State in this Union a democracy.
The enemies of liberty insist on “fundamentally transforming” our republic into a democracy which they hope to further transform into a “socialist utopia,” (otherwise known as a totalitarian police state.)
It is the duty of every liberty-loving American to resist this authoritarian transformation.
Benjamin Franklin was known to have said, “ “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.”
If we “lambs” want to engage in such a debate, we will find ourselves at a decided disadvantage. It is important to reject the premise or the discussion will inevitably descend toward the destruction of our liberty.
God bless you, Dave
Yes, Missouri, Texas, and Louisiana have led the way in fighting the tyranny.
