I believe that all Christians, and Americans who love truth and justice should morn the recent installment to the Supreme Court. She has demonstrated a blatant disregard for justice, an unwillingness to call evil, evil, and good, good. She delights in her ability to refuse justice to the victims of crime, and openly extends sympathy to the perpetrators of these crimes.
While the Constitution requires very little in writing for Supreme Court Justices, the very process is designed to insure that only the most prudent respecter of truth and justice should ascend to the position. Justices must be appointed by the President of The United States. That President is to have been elected by the American people, through the Electoral College system, and vowed allegiance to the US Constitution. This Oath Of Office is proscribed by the Constitution itself.
Article 2, Section 1, Clause 8
“Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:—
(I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.)”
As one of the duties of the president, selecting a Supreme Court nominee must be in alignment with the preservation, protection and defense the Constitution of the United States. That very US Constitution begins,
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
With this supreme goal in mind, Supreme Court Justices appointed, should have as their primary goal, the establishment of Justice, domestic tranquility, provision for the common defense, promotion of general Welfare, and the security of the “Blessings of Liberty” for all Americans and their posterity.
Then, once the President has selected an appointment to The Court, that appointment must be confirmed by the US Senate, presumably insuring that this new appointee to The Court will rule in such a way as to provide for the establishment of Justice, domestic tranquility, common defense, promotion of the general Welfare, and security of the, “Blessings of Liberty.”
Does the Appointment of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson meet these criteria?
NOT IN THE LEAST.
Her own words, and official record have amply testified to this fact, and thereby the Senate should have roundly rejected her addition to The Court, but they did not.
How are we, who must submit to the judgements issued by this court, to react to this Supreme Miscarriage of Justice? I believe that we must remember that God’s judgement on nations is doled out by people. In the natural world, authority is given, and removed by GOD ALMIGHTY, according to His righteous judgement.
Israel was sent into bondage to Nebuchadnezzar in judgement of their rebellion, and rejection of His laws. They suffered slavery, and oppression as payment for their rejection of TRUTH.
We, in America, find our selves in a similar situation, and much like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, we must be about our Father’s business. We must submit to truth and justice, regardless of the godlessness, and unrighteousness of our government. We must remember that, as a nation, we have the government that we deserve. If we are to effect positive change in our government, we must effect positive change in ourselves, and our civilization.We must refuse to accept the godless conduct of our elected politicians, and their appointments.
How do we do that, you may ask? We must learn how our Senator voted regarding Ketanji Brown Jackson’s appointment, and if we love truth, and we love justice, we must do our part in sanctioning them for that vote. They should be opposed vocally, and in writing, and we should vote to replace them at the first opportunity.
It is hard enough to KNOW who can be trusted once appointed to the Supreme Court. Many Justices, appointed by truth loving Americans, based on decades of faithful adherence to our constitution, have abandoned good behavior once seated on The Court. That is not the fault of Senators, or the nominating President. They were deceived. Such an example is Amy Coney Barrett. She had a long history of faithful service in jurisprudence, and was highly regarded by lovers of liberty, of every station in return, but has been an unmitigated disaster as a Supreme Court Justice.
Ketanji Brown Jackson is quite a different story. Her record as a lawyer, judge, and Appellate court Justice, is demonstrative of an arrogant, agenda driven activist who rejoices in calling evil good, and good evil. Her affections lie with the perpetrators of some of the most heinous crimes, and she displays little compassion for their victims. The nomination of her, and the vote to confirm her as Justice, reveals that either the President, and confirming Senators are stupid, or they are dishonest, at best.
This stupidity, or dishonesty, should make them as unqualified as Ketanji Brown Jackson, for their present position.
The United States of America is good, only if her citizens embrace good. The United States of America is evil, only if her citizens embrace evil. Where do you stand?
