WHY ARE OUR YOUTH SO IGNORANT OF POLITICS?
Have we been faithful to teach them to think for themselves?
Have we American adults given the proper respect to the nation, the republic that our forefathers fought and died to leave to us? Have our parents, and their parents before them been obedient to the requirements of a just God to preserve the inheritance of our birth?
Just who’s fault is it that so many are ignorant of their duty, and who’s fault is it that our children are texting incessantly, and partaking of ever newer social media, to the entertainment of their imaginations, and senses? Have we bathed them in prayer, with trust in the firm foundation of faith in a loving God?
I believe that for many of us, the true answer to these questions is not encouraging. I believe that just as so many, from generations before us, we have deluded ourselves in false security, ignoring our own stubbornness, and the stubbornness of our young.
Many have not studied the history of the Christian Church, the history of human nature, nor that of our nation, relying on propaganda spoon-fed to us by enemies of God, truth, and liberty.
Furthermore, like as with our parents, and their parents before them, we have allowed them to prosper in the goods that were wrung from the sweat of others, even if we are those others.
Can we be so callous concerning the generations to follow? Are we content, allowing our own progeny to face the lions of destruction that hope to devour them?
In his new book, “Letter to the American Church,” Erick Metaxas points out the state of the German Church in the early 1930’s, and its likeness to our modern American church’s attitude toward the necessity of faith in action.
Why do so many, having inherited so much, esteem it so lightly? Why are we reluctant to make the effort necessary to defend, restore, and preserve our nation?
Are we lazy, are we ignorant, or do we simply love evil?
“Faith without works is dead.” This is from the Bible, and therefore is truth, yet how many of us believe it to inspire action, and of those that do, how many have taught this to their children?
Our youth are set to inherit America as we are leaving it to them. If it is a proper example of righteousness and liberty, it is because we have preserved it for them. On the contrary, I fear that we may fail in this respect, just as those of the German Church had failed in the decades before WW II to preserve their church, and their nation, as they ignored Bonhoeffer’s warnings.
Right now, today, there are many Americans working feverishly to alert their fellow Christians, and their fellow American of the dangers we face, and the urgency. Yet how many are too busy indulging in the fruit their toil, and that of others’ imaginations, and labor to smell the proverbial coffee?
Are you considering voting for Democrats in the next election? If so, are you not able to see the utter destruction that today’s Democrats have been wreaking upon every area of our society? Have you no compassion for the innocent victims of our treasonous, “commander in chief,” military generals, Congress, federal court system, and FBI?
If we allow the marxist powers of today’s Democrat Party to plunder our youth, without opposition, and without warning our youth, how can we possibly call ourselves faithful, patriotic, or faultless?
It is high time that Christian Americans recognize these times. That we eschew evil, and cling to good, leading our youth through the perilous forest of lies, and deception. We have a duty to our God, to our nation, and to our youth, to withstand the predators hoping to relish in the consumption of our souls, and that of our offspring.
There are resources within our reach, produced by the faithful, and promoted by others, also faithful. What is your part? How has God called you to affect righteousness? How Has He called you to preserve this nation, this beacon of liberty in this dark world?
Trust me, He has enabled you. He has built talents, and abilities within your DNA, perfectly suited to the task at hand. Will you rise to the challenge, or shrink in fear, or complacency?
Will you avail yourself of the resources available, or leave it to someone else? The race is not to the swift, but to the faithful.
God bless you, Dave
