“What do you mean, Dave?Aren’t brilliance, and wisdom the same thing? Doesn’t it take a high IQ to have wisdom? Isn’t it wise to trust in the “wisdom” of the smartest among us?”
You may wonder what is my point. It is to provoke real thought in ordinary, everyday Americans, who in many ways are wise, and often even brilliant. These ordinary Americans however, are often deceived into betraying their own wisdom, and differing to nonsense peddled by devious people with high IQ’s.
Common sense is the product of wisdom, and wisdom is believing the Word of God. “The fear of God, is the beginning of wisdom.”
Throughout the history of mankind, Satan has attacked wisdom, (the revelation of the Most High,) and sought to deceive, “even the elect of God.” Is it any wonder that his tactics remain unchanged? Wasn’t Adam’s downfall the rejecting of the commandment of God, (or God’s wisdom,) and entertaining another “wisdom?”
Satan said to them, “'for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil?” Was it wise for Eve to listen, and obey this “wisdom?” Was it wise that Adam did likewise?
Can’t we recognize that devilish forces continually assault true wisdom propagating lies through the deviously, “intelligent,” among us?
When intelligence is misused for the purpose of conquest, it is not a virtue, rather it is a destructive weapon. When deceit is orchestrated by intelligent people, it is no more virtuous than if it was perpetrated by idiots.
Truth is virtue, and is also the very nature of God. When we disciple ourselves after the commandments of God, we benefit. When we reject the Word of God, and follow after the imaginations of, “men,” we suffer.
All Americans benefit, and profit from the talents of others. We consume the produce of farmers who work long hours, under both good, and bad weather, to produce affordable fruits and vegetables for our nutrition. When we consume meat, eggs, and fish that result from the labor of ranchers, egg farmers, and fishermen, who brave constant hardships to harvest. We expend little effort as we walk the well lighted isles of clean markets, selecting from the freshest, and most enticing items, beautifully packed for our convenience.
Do our actions bolster gratitude, or entitlement? If we choose not to be grateful for the blessings in our lives, are we to expect more blessings, or curses?
It is well past time for Americans to stop expecting our salvation to come from our government, political parties, or politicians. It is also well past time for Americans to stop forfeiting their political duty to hold their officials accountable. It is also well past time for everyday Americans to exercise their political will upon our government.
I was asked, “what can we do about it?’ “How can the powers that be, be forced to submit to the constitutional authority of constituents?”
I believe that one of the deceptive weapons used by Satan, through the instrumentalities of government, is that we have been taught to expect the reformation to begin at the top, and trickle down through agency of political administration.
Is that what our constitution says? Does it set our President, Supreme Court or Congress as the reigning authorities over Americanism? I don’t believe it does. It begins with “We the people.” In the individual citizen that chooses to either exercise their authority, or relinquish it to some, “political authority.”
The US Constitution IS THE AUTHORITY. No other earthly power is above the American Constitution. As an example, any American who voluntarily puts on a mask, against their will, in submission to a government mandate, at any level, has forfeited their authority, submitting to tyranny.
Any American who voluntarily receives a “Covid vaccination,” against their will, in submission to a government mandate, at any level, has forfeited their authority, submitting to tyranny.
Any American who voluntarily vaccinates their children, against their will, in submission to a government mandate, at any level, has forfeited their authority, submitting to tyranny.
Any American who voluntarily allows their children to be given access to pornography in schools, or in public libraries, against their will, and in submission to a government mandate, at any level, has forfeited their authority, submitting to tyranny.
I think you get my point. It is time for us to decide whether we will submit to God, or our government. No man can have two masters, they will either hold to one, or to the other. Will we demand submission from our government, or submit to tyranny.
You may ask, “where can we begin to reclaim our authority as, “We the people,” over tyrants?
As I intimated earlier, constitutional power does not work as a customary hierarchy, top down, it begins at the bottom up. Therefore, it is true that we ordinary citizens are without the power to order around the President, Speaker of the House, Senate Majority Leader, Director of the FBI, or Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. We must begin with our School Boards, our city councils, our state legislators, and work up to the Congress, and so on.
Is it wise to simply determine that since we have lost control over the highest offices of our government, that we have no power, no authority, and no duty?
“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord .” Joshua 24:15
I choose to serve the Lord in my study of scripture, in my worship, in relationships, in evangelism, and in my civic engagement. I hope that you will too.
God bless you, Dave
